I've started giving folks CD's with podcasts on them. Many folks are nervous about 'downloading' anything from the web these days. So far I've found that this helps them grasp the content and to make it safe for them. From here it's a small step to actually listening online and then subscribe via RSS.

Great podcast, Bryan, and thanks for mentioning my suggestion on keeping the summary concise. This one was tighter, I thought. Another way I've found to interest folks outside the echo chamber (such as my parents) is to e-mail them a link to a particular podcast episode that might interest them, so they can just click on the link and listen.

We missed you at Boston Media Makers, where I had fun showing off my new iPhone. I particularly enjoyed the thoughtful discussion on Keen's book, led by David Tames. It's a great group.
