04|Sep|2006 1Sorry guys, but it’s kind of ironic that talking about ideas for blog posts and research involved, you get it wrong about the whole “Kriptonyte lock situation”…”A blog that had ten readers” Huh? Please correct this!
I think podcasting should also be about correcting mistakes afterwards, no?

07|Sep|2006 2You are correct. The first post about the Kriptonyte lock appeared on a forum not a blog. It was the blogosphere that picked up the story and ran with it. Then eventually the mainstream media picked up the story. I stand corrected. See this post.
It still doesn’t negate the fact that, with the internet moving in real time, companies can no longer control the message. Ten years ago I doubt that there would have been such coverage of the story. Today, the distribution methods are getting easier and easier. If you foul-up on TV, your video is on YouTube before your make-up is removed.
Thank you for that correction. In the future, I will make every effort to have my facts straight.
